Full-Lifecycle Implementation
Building a boutique e-commerce platform requires careful attention to both underlying architecture and customer-facing aesthetics. For Ali's Perfumery, the objective is to execute a complete, end-to-end Shopify setup tailored to the brand's unique identity. This involves managing the entire technical rollout, from initial store configuration and environment architecture to the final custom UI implementation.
Data Migration & Infrastructure
A visually engaging storefront relies on well-structured data. The legacy store suffered from a disorganized product taxonomy that made navigation difficult. Before writing any custom UI code, I conducted a deep analysis of all existing products and previous store categories. I resolved this messy architecture by designing a logical, well-structured hierarchy utilizing dynamic collections. Once the new taxonomy was established, I executed the full data migration, ensuring every product was accurately routed into its specific collection to create a clean, scalable backend.
Crafting a Premium Aesthetic
A boutique perfumery requires a premium visual identity that standard Shopify themes rarely provide. To achieve this, I set up a local development workflow using the Shopify CLI. This allows for clean, maintainable styling alongside custom Liquid logic, ensuring the brand's specific design requirements are translated into fully functional, highly customized Shopify sections.
Active Development & Delivery
Currently in active development, this project balances high-level store architecture with granular frontend details. By customizing JavaScript cart behaviors and tailoring specific Product Detail Page (PDP) layouts, the focus is on delivering a seamless, high-conversion shopping experience that aligns perfectly with the brand's premium market positioning.
